Celebrating 40 Years
in Heritage ParkThe Stearns History Museum is celebrating its 40th anniversary in Heritage Park this year and we want you to join us! Thanks to the Stearns County Commissioners, we are offering FREE admission to all residents of Stearns County this year so we can join together to commemorate four decades of history in our current location.
Board President Edward Zapp, Jr. and Patricia Morreim led the planning and fundraising charge, along with many staff members including Ruth Knevel, Dave Ebnet, and John Decker. The building opened with much fanfare on June 30, 1984, marking a new era for the Stearns County Historical Society as a museum destination.
To mark our anniversary, we are hosting a series of events and programs focused on the 1980s. So pull out your shoulder pads and stone washed jeans and come find yourself in history.
