Update: 5/4/20

The Stearns History Museum building will remain closed to the public until further notice. We will update you moving forward, but our work continues. Look for new digital programming for all ages and call 320-253-8424 or email info@stearns-museum.org with any questions or to work on research. You can also follow us on social media on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Be safe and healthy!

Governor Walz has issued an executive order to “Stay At Home” and we’ll do just that! The Stearns History Museum building will be closed through May 31 as required by the state. However, we’re keeping busy working from home and look forward to providing some great digital content in the coming month! Look for Stories of Our Stuff on YouTube, Stearns Stories, our new podcast, on Facebook, and opportunities for learning some history from our Research Center Staff as well. Please feel free to e-mail us at info@stearns-museum.org or call 320-253-8424. We’ll still be checking messages! Be sure to journal and record your stories about this impactful time in history. We’ll be asking you for them in the coming months!

The Stearns History Museum is dedicated to keeping our visitors updated about COVID-19, and is committed to the safety and well-being of our community. At this time, we are following the Minnesota Department of Health recommendations combined with the CDC’s Community Mitigation Strategy for workplace and community-based organizations. Please check back for updates regarding museum hours, event dates, and more. Your support is valued now more than ever. Please consider a donation to keep history alive and thriving in Stearns County.

We’re all in this together. Stay home. Stay safe.
